AzMGMA Legislative Workshop

On November 20, 2008, David Landrith, Vice President of Policy and Political Affairs for the Arizona Medical Association and lobbyist will be making a special appearance for the Arizona Medical Group Management Association's members only. This is a half-day legislative workshop entitled: "Exercising Your Legislative Voice And Making A Difference For Your Practice And Your Physician's Future". New demands in healthcare require today's healthcare executives and management to be on top of their game and that includes knowledge of the underpinnings of the legislature and staying up on federal and state health initiatives.
Working objectives for the one-half day workshop include:
1) Strategies for getting your voice heard;
2) Communicating effectively with your Legislators;
3) How to establish a working relationship with key Legislators;
4) Understanding the Legislative Process in your state and how it works;
5) The realities of getting good legislation passed;
6) Legislative Etiquette.
